Difficult Decision of The Perfect Lounge Pants
Ever wondered if you can make judgments that can help you wear the perfect pajamas? Sounds a bit strange, let me explain.
Winter is coming and it’s super hard to imagine this season without the perfect lounge pants or pajamas that you can laze around or work in!
Here at Tbô every season is a chance to come up with the most comfortable clothing. There was no looking back when the idea of a collaboration with LA Magazine struck. Experts from the Magazine giving the best input they can for the design of the perfect lounge pants and a competition to see what design wins was the only way forward to make this a community driven affair.
If you do not know already - Tbô is a community led platform where the customers have the final say. Let me break it down on how it works: There’s a community platform where the “Tribe” (over 400,000 people from all over the world) engages in conversations about product developments, ideas and everything else under the sun that demands a discussion. We talk about mental health, tattoos, share pictures or even ask for recommendations on where to travel!
Coming back to the lounge pants - it has to be a community-led decision! So this contest is about the Tribe judging and concluding what they like best from the LA Magazine Staff’s collection. Here’s a sneak peak of the designs that made it to the finals:
Shelby has gone with the all classic all black look for the lounge pants, heat retaining and stylish with the care label on the inside. Two pockets at the sides and a slim fit.
Mitch’s design is similar to Shelby’s - the classic lounge wear for winter in a deep maroon hue. The difference here is not just the color but that laces at the waist that will keep the pajamas in place while keeping the waist comfortable.
So those were the two designs that made it to the top 2. There’s a war brewing between the two designs and we need to pick one right now.
In the spirit of the contest though, here’s the ones that made it to the semi finals but couldn’t get further ahead:
Merle’s bold design comes with single colors for the legs and multiple pockets - two at the front and two in the back. The colors break the monotony of winter wear that begs to stay in the greys and blacks.
Ada went all in with the design being a 2-1, shorts and lounge pants. The pants come with slits that can be folded and tucked to make the pajama into shorts for when the weather is hot.

In case you’re still wondering how to fill your wardrobe with comfortable winter collection, here are a few tips:
- Get some thermals, keeping your lower body is key to warmth and temperature distribution
- Get the right pair of socks - hands and legs are where the heat dissipates, make sure you don’t get “cold feet”
- Keep your neck covered with a warm muffler or a stole, whatever suits your style best
- Keep a pair of comfortable gloves ready
