Let's dive deep into the realm of fashion where 'less is more' and the thongs take center stage!

*Please note that the terminology and design specifics of underwear styles can vary between brands and regions, so there might be slight variations in coverage for each design.

Men’s Thongs with the Most Coverage

If you’re not looking to show off your goods to the fullest extent, that is okay! There’s a thong for every man’s preference and style. You just need to know exactly what to look for! So let’s start off with the types of men’s thongs that have the most coverage:

Full-back thong (9th)

Coming in as the top contender for men’s thong with the most coverage: The Men’s Full-back thong. This design provides the most coverage as it has a wider back that covers most of the buttocks. However, it still shows just enough to spark some excitement for anyone that catches a glimpse. The front usually offers a comfortable pouch for your nether regions, so you don’t have to worry about anything accidentally slipping out.

Brazilian or Rio thong (8th)

As the name suggests, the original name and design for thongs came from Brazil! As Traveling 9 to 5 blog put so eloquently “Thong bikinis to Brazilians are like pasta to the Italians or berets to the French.” The Brazilian thong offers slightly less coverage compared to the full-back thong, as it has a narrower back. The Brazilian or Rio men’s thong offers a little bit more of a show at the back than the full-back thong.  The front usually offers a comfortable pouch for your crowned jewels, similar to the full-back men’s thong.

Classic thong (7th)

This design typically features a thin strip of fabric at the back, providing slightly less coverage than the full-back and Brazilian thongs. The front usually still has a pouch. This sneaky number gives a peak of the behind. Enough to make things exciting, but not enough to be considered indecent in public.

Men’s Thongs with a “Medium” amount of coverage

Looking for something that says “I ain't afraid to show it off” but still want to make sure all the MOST IMPORTANT bits are covered? Maybe these next three types of men’s thong designs are for you:

Men's Tanga (6th)

As you can imagine, the Tanga thong style offers even less coverage than the classic thong, with a narrower strip of fabric at the back. The design still features a wraparound strap and a men’s pouch at the front for comfortability and coverage.

Men's Cheeky Thong (5th)

As you can probably guess from the name, the men’s cheeky thong is indeed cheeky. The cheeky thong has less coverage than the Tanga. It is designed to show a bit more of the butt cheeks. This design usually still has a pouch and a thinner strap around the waist. The main function of this design is to let your buttcheeks take center stage.

Men's V-string thong (4th)

Now we’re getting into territory that provides a lot less coverage than the thongs before. The V-string men’s thong is named after the V-shaped strip at the back of the thong. It is the only fabric you can see when looking at the wearer from behind. It offers minimal coverage but usually still has a small pouch in front. This design most commonly has a thinner and less noticeable wraparound waistband, opting for a minimalist look.

Men’s Thongs with the Least Amount of Coverage

Looking to show off your goods leaving little to nothing for the imagination? Then these 3 options might be for you. Strutting your stuff in one of these bad boys will claim you a spot in the viewer’s imagination, rent-free for years to come. So let’s get into it:

Micro Thongs for men (3rd)

As the name suggests, micro thongs offer the least coverage among the listed options so far. They are also sometimes referred to as “string underwear” for men. They show off with a highly narrow front and back. In essence, it’s a string going around your waist and between your cheeks with a minimalist pouch in the front.

Men’s G-Strings & T-strings (2nd)

G-strings and T-strings are similar to micro thongs in terms of coverage. It features a minimalistic front and a string at the back. They show off everything in style. However, from our experience, these usually also have a see-through or hyper-minimalist pouch.

Men's C-string (1st)

The men’s C-string takes the award for the most daring, least coverage thong for men on the market! The C-string is a minimalistic design with no side straps. With just a thin piece of fabric covering the front, leaving the back completely exposed.

Whether you are looking to start out your journey with wearing thongs or looking to spice up the bedroom with a saucy, leaving-little-to-the-imagination number, there’s something for you on this list. The type of men’s thongs you prefer will most probably differ depending on the context, end goal, and personal confidence. We suggest giving them all a try and seeing which one sparks the most joy!

Very helpfull article. I recently purchased 4 thongs to start off. I feel nervous about wearing it in public like in the sauna at the gym, but I get brave and do it. I’m getting comfortable showing off my thongs now. Thinking about buying some more revealing style.
