How the Tribe Brought Back the Ballsy Brief

Learn how one of our most popular and bold styles made a comeback!

The legendary, Limited Edition Ballsy Brief is one of TBô’s most popular and bold underwear styles. One of the original collaborations alongside the Tribe, the co-creation process involved much discussion, debate, and brainstorming before finally coming to life.

Everyone here was incredibly proud of the original Ballsy Brief. We chalked up its popularity to the Ballsy’s sexy fit, striking colors, and signature high quality bamboo viscose fabric.  

So, we were excited when several members in the community suggested we bring back the Limited Edition Ballsy. How could we say no? 

The beginning of the comeback

A relaunch of the beloved Ballsy wouldn’t be complete without the input of the Tribe, so we kicked off a community survey to learn what our co-creators would want most in the next iteration of the Ballsy.

TBô community Tribe consists of more than 400,000 co-creators: customers, innovators, and champions who share their opinions, ideas, and feedback on our community platform. This space is a hotbed of brainstorming and collaboration, and gives us a ton of energy to deliver the highest quality men’s underwear.

The community survey is the focal point of every new product launch because of the innumerable opportunities to refine and upgrade the design based on the Tribe’s feedback. This part of the process is what we love the most about co-creation: the energy that comes from hearing from so many voices and collaborating to create the best underwear on the market.

Refining a Tribe favorite

The customers surveyed had a wealth of valuable input to provide, such as the color and size of the waistband, the size of the underwear pouch, and stripe printing on both sides of the brief. 

We incorporate feedback from our customers even on small details such as the way the logo is printed—no detail is too small to refine, and every aspect of the product that is important to our customers is equally important to us!

Additionally, a new sizing chart was created for the relaunch of the Ballsy Brief, to accommodate a wider range of sizes for our customers.

After voting on the most-desired cuts and colors for the next release of the Ballsy, the winning styles were decided: the classic striped Ballsy Briefs in two colors: Pirate Stripes, and Norse Blue Stripes! Additionally, the new launch of the Ballsy will come in all three popular styles: Briefs, Trunks, and Boxer Briefs.

So, what exactly makes the Ballsy such a hit? For starters, it’s made from the comfortable, cool, and clean-feeling bamboo viscose blend that the Tribe raves about. The feather-soft feel of the fabric and the bulge-enhancing pouch combine perfectly with the bold and confident Ballsy design to create a style of briefs that make the perfect combination of comfort and sexyness.  

Bringing it all together

The process of creating a new style of underwear goes through many stages: from sourcing ideas and materials, to prototyping and testing, we spend the right amount of time to ensure that we get every detail just right and guarantee the high standards of quality that the Tribe expects from TBô. And, of course, we include our co-creators at each stage to make sure that they have a say in the underwear they wear.

The story, however, isn’t over: The Limited Edition relaunch of the Ballsy Brief is happening right now, and will only be available for a short period of time.
